Pilanesberg National Park - one of the largest in South Africa. The park covers an area of 55 000-hectares and its plains are rich and fertile as they were once part of a now extinct volcanic crater.

Majestic hills encircle the park and a large central watering hole is ideal for game viewing. Home to all of the Big Five and other large game including giraffe, hippo, zebra and crocodile, as well as an extreme diversity of birdlife. There are a number of hides and picnic spots to stop and stretch your legs.

Program

Day 1 – Safari
Pick up from your accommodation around 11am and transported in air-conditioned vehicles to the Pilanesberg National Park, check into your hotel, enjoy a light lunch while overlooking the park (lunch for own account at 3&4 star lodges)
Late afternoon sees you off on a 4x4 game drive lasting until sunset. Search for the Big 5 in an open game viewing vehicle. Smell the odours of the bush. Marvel at the scenery of the ancient crater.
Return for dinner at the lodge

DAY 2
The next morning you will leave on another 4x4 safari (depending on the season breakfast can be taken before or after - lodge will advise)
Return to lodge and then after checkout, return transfer to Johannesburg.

Children Policy

Game drive Policy:
Bakubung/KwaMaritane: children 3 and up allowed at rangers discression
Shepherds Tree: children 5 and plus allowed on game drives at rangers discression
Tshukudu: no under 12's permitted at lodge
