Program

Our Loisico representative will pick you up from your hotel in Johannesburg between 10h00 and 12h00 after which you will travel the scenic 2-hour trip to Ukutula Lion Lodge.

On arrival you will be greeted by friendly Ukutula guides who will settle you in for lunch (must be pre-booked). After lunch your guide will take you on a tour of the lion enclosures, explaining what is entailed in the breeding and conservation of African lions. After some refreshments, you will proceed to the cub enclosure where you will have a chance to play with the lion cubs, some as young as 3 weeks old! Later you will also visit the enclosure of the tame cheetah, Emma, who will purr loudly as you give her some attention.

Then you will have the option to start on an unforgettable walk through the bush with large young lions. You will have amazing photo opportunities as they climb trees, feed, play, and swim in front of you.

As the sun begins to set enjoy a sumptious meal to the serenade of the resident lions (must be pre-booked). After a good nights rest, enjoy a hearty breakfast, after which it is time to return to Johannesburg. If you have the time, you can stop along the way at a local arts and crafts market, or why not enjoy an elephant interaction in the afternoon. (14h00 - 16h30)
